Accepted! My submissions to Fe Gallery: Scientific Illustration show

Fantastic news! I will have two pieces in the upcoming exhibition at Fe Gallery in Sacramento, California. How exciting that my Chanterelle and Rhino Beetle were accepted, and also featured throughout the exhibition site and on the marketing postcards! Thank you so much for the spotlight! Happily, several of my classmates from the UW Scientific Illustration program were also accepted, and together we make up a hefty fraction of the collection [doing a dance for my friends] including Anneke Wilder, Erin Nix, Sonia Lei, and Megan Ellis! So happy to show next to these talented ladies again.

I unfortunately am unable to attend due to international travel at the time of the opening show, but I hope to receive pictures from the evening and will link to.

I decided to do the framing myself, which was a lot more work than I anticipated going in. I happen to have a large mat cutter on hand, so I thought it would be easy! Alas, now I know why matting and framing are so costly - it is easier said than done!

"Investigations into Scientific Illustration" opens February 10, 2018, reception from 6pm - 9pm.
